Classical and flamenco guitars
Camps
A Catalan house carrying on Spanish guitar-making since 1945.
Founded in 1945 by Joan Camps Coll, who combined his love of music with solid woodworking skills, the Camps house devoted itself to building Spanish guitars in its workshop in Girona, Catalonia. The company is today run by his sons, Jordi and Xavier Camps, trained from a young age alongside their father, keepers of a know-how passed down from generation to generation.
The workshop stays true to traditional Spanish guitar-making methods, in the line of great luthiers such as Antonio Torres, with hand assembly and finishing. The choice of carefully selected fine woods and a range running from student models to concert instruments, both classical and flamenco, make it a consistent reference for the workshop, which values manufacturing consistency and a controlled playing response.
