Prodipe
A French brand making quality guitars accessible since 1996.
Prodipe was created in 1996 by Jean-Luc Masson, a classical trumpeter trained at the Geneva Conservatoire, under the umbrella of IPE Music, whose name gives the brand its acronym. Finding that musicians did not all have access to quality gear at an affordable price, Masson travelled to China to visit factories and launched a range of professional audio products sold directly. The company is now based in Les Sables-d'Olonne, in the Vendée region of France.
It was only in 2017 that Prodipe developed its own guitar models, working with a team of French luthiers and Asian factories, for electric and classical instruments sold well below the price of the market's leading references.
